RNL has another beauty treat for you, friends. Yup, another easy (and timely for all my detoxers) DIY beauty post from Lara Morrissey.
Happy New Year everyone! I hope this finds you all happy and healthy!!!
So, I know we all are always looking for ways to make our skin glow, and look well, beautiful. Well, you’re all in luck because I have a way to accomplish both of those things. And on the plus side, it has an added bonus. Detox, detox, detox.
An avocado, oatmeal and honey face mask.
It will have your skin looking and feeling amazing after only one application. And the news gets even better- it’s super simple. Let’s get started!
Detoxifying Avocado and Oatmeal Face Mask
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1/2 cup of the oatmeal of your choice
- 1/3 cup of raw honey
- Mixing bowl
- Spoon or whisk
- Remove the pit from your avocado.
- Place avocado and oatmeal in a mixing bowl.
- Add honey and mix concoction together until smooth.
- Gently apply to your face, avoiding the eye and mouth areas.
- Leave on for 15 minutes or until dry.
- Use a washcloth and hot water to gently remove the mask.
- Splash hot water on your face, finishing with a splash of cool water to close your pores, allowing moisture retention.
- Repeat this 2-3 times per week.
If you desire, you can triple the recipe and keep the mask in an airtight container. I use a mason jar or small glass bowl.
Most of all – enjoy! Your skin will thank you, and you will notice that your face feels smoother and much more supple!
