This is an easy heart healthy recipe certain to keep you satisfied and energetic throughout the day. The pecans are full of antioxidants and are said to help with weight control, lower cholesterol, and even protect our mind. Avocado is full of folate, which helps protect against stroke as well as heart disease, when eaten regularly. Olive oil is full of monounsaturated fat to prevent heart disease, as well as keep skin looking gorgeous. Mixed greens are full of minerals which will energize, as well as detoxify the body naturally. Strawberries not only add color to our salad, but are low glycemic, anti-inflammatory, promote healthy bones and prevent cancer.
Take any wide mouth canning jar and start by putting 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar in bottom. Add 2-3 cups of mixed greens and ½ cup of slices strawberries. Top with 1/4 cup of pecans and a few slices of avocado. Seal the lid and simply shake well before you enjoy!!
