Do you have an end of the year ritual? A time to reflect on the past year and set some intention for what’s to come? Whether your answer is yes, or no, I’ve created a few questions that may help you end this year with a bang and bring in the new one better than you could have imagined.

Uh well that sounds like kind of a tall order. I mean how do I do that??

My suggestion? First, carve out some quiet time- you don’t need hours and hours, but try and give this your full attention. Dim the lights and light a fire, candles and/or Christmas tree. Next, brew your favorite warm beverage (peppermint tea anyone??) Finally, grab your journal or notebook. I strongly suggest unplugging for this. No laptops and silence that smart phone too! Take 3 deep breaths in through your nose, expanding your chest and belly and exhale through the mouth. You’re all set. Answer the questions below honestly and authentically. Enjoy this process. Give yourself plenty of grace and be thankful while going through this process.

1. What am I most proud of this year?

2. How can I become a better _____________?

3. Where am I feeling stuck?

4. Where do I need to allow myself grace?

5. How well did I take care of my body, mind, and soul?

6. How can I improve my relationships?

7. Who do I need to forgive?

8. What old habits would I like to release?

9.  What new habits would I like to cultivate?

10. How can I be kind to myself?

What you do next is your choice. Maybe you want to set some intention or a resolution and put this list on your fridge. Maybe you want to burn this list and shake this year off ,making room for the positive. The choice is yours!

I hope you have a blessed and beautiful 2014
