In this post I will show you how CBD oil reduces bacteria in your mouth to help teeth, tooth pain, and insomnia. Activated charcoal really works to safely whiten your teeth in this simple DIY Charcoal CBD Oil Toothpaste Recipe.
Does CBD oil help with tooth pain?
While there is little research on CBD oil and dental conditions, it is increasingly accepted that CBD can possibly treat the symptoms of various chronic conditions, and that the painkilling properties of CBD alone might also be effective against acute conditions, such as some common dental problems.
Short answer, it can’t hurt! If you have a toothache, you should call your dentist and use a tincture (like this) directly on affected area.
Does CBD oil help with tooth decay?
Possibly. There is still little research on CBD and dentistry. CBD does have some antibacterial properties but ultimately the best way to prevent tooth decay is thorough good oral hygiene practices and consuming a healthy diet
Does CBD help teeth?
Science has widely proven that cannabis compounds such as CBD has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and bone-stimulating properties, which may help with many severe conditions. Again, more research is needed but it does look promising.
Does brushing your teeth with charcoal whiten them?
Add it to your DIY or natural toothpaste to remove stains from chocolate, berries, and wine. It actually changes the pH of your mouth to prevent decay, bad breath, and periodontal disease. Consider brushing in the shower so you don’t make a mess! NOTE: Do not use more than once per week and exercise caution around dental work, such as veneers and crowns, as staining may occur. This is my favorite OTC charcoal paste.
CBD oil toothpaste and insomnia
Research shows CBD may increase overall sleep amounts and reduce insomnia. CBD has also been shown to improve sleep in people who suffer from chronic pain. Using it in your toothpaste on stressful nights is a simple and effective way to ensure a great nights sleep! You could also use this paste in the morning as CBD oil is associated with less daytime sleepiness too!

I can’t wait to hear if you try this Charcoal CBD Oil Toothpaste Recipe!
I have heard that you shouldn’t spit toothpaste with coconut oil down the drain as it will clog pipes over time. Have you noticed this happening using this toothpaste? Can you just swallow this paste? Lastly, can you use the paste daily if you leave out the charcoal? Thanks so much.
Hi Nancy! Many natural toothpastes are coconut oil based, including ones you buy. I can see your concern, but I would not recommend swallowing it as the bentonite clay, while not dangerous, could stick in the digestive tract. Definitely can be used twice daily without charcoal!
