It’s hard to believe that it is already that time of year again. Summer is slowly coming to an end and soon flip-flops and bikinis will give way to chunky sweaters and cute boots.

But wait,  it’s not time to kiss those tan lines goodbye just yet. If your family is like mine, it seems someone (usually daddy) always has too much fun in the sun. If you’re finding yourself looking in the mirror at your tender, red skin (and kicking yourself for forgetting to apply that third and fourth application of sunscreen), have no fear.

I have a tried and true DIY after sun spray that will have your thirsty skin thanking you in no time.

This spray is super easy, works well, and you may already have the ingredients in your cupboards.  Get ready for some post fun in the sun relief!

Spring Cleaning 101

Spring is upon us (I swear!). So, it’s time to start thinking about spring cleaning!! Unfortunately, home cleaning products now include several dangerous weapons, loaded with strong, artificial colors, fragrances, and harsh cleansing agents like bleach, ammonia and acids. These chemicals can produce indoor pollution by off-gassing toxic fumes that can irritate eyes and lungs. (Children and pets are most at risk.) Continue reading “Spring Cleaning 101”

Why I am a “Flexitarian”

One of the most common questions I get once people find out that I am a Holistic Health and Nutrition Counselor is, “what do you think is the best diet?”  That’s a great question! If I had the right answer for everyone, I would be a billionaire. I believe in the concept of bio-individuality in that each person has unique food and lifestyle needs. One person’s food is another person’s poison, and that’s why fad diets tend to fail in the long run. Continue reading “Why I am a “Flexitarian””
