I LOVE  french fries. Who doesn’t? But, they’re not really the healthiest side dish for my family. Well I’ve got a recipe for sweet potato fries sure to satisfy and keep the waistline in check. Check out the RNL healthy version I made here on Good Day Live!!!

Sweet Potato Fries:

Ingredients:

1 Large Sweet Potato

1 T Coconut Oil (or avocado oil)

1/4 tsp Celtic sea salt

1/4 tsp basil

Pinch of cayenne or paprika

Directions:

Preheat oven to 450°F. Toss sweet potato wedges with oil, salt and pepper. Spread the wedges out on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake until browned and tender, turning once, about 20 minutes total.

**Note: For crispier fries, broil on low 1-2 minutes per side

  1. Are you using sweet potatoes or yams? These look more orange like yams. Sweet potatoes have a creamy yellow look to them when cooked.
