Anyone out there trying to limit soy?? Or maybe you’re sensitive?? Or maybe you are raw and looking for new options?? Check out coconut aminos, a soy sauce alternative….
I have some issues with soy (that blog post is coming sweet friends!) Maybe you do too?? I try to steer clear of it as much as possible. That’s why I was so excited when I came across Coconut Secret’s Raw Coconut Aminos a great soy sauce alternative. They are vegan, gluten free, soy free, dairy free, and certified organic. Maybe most importantly, they are MSG free!! The aminos are made of coconut sap and include 17 naturally occurring amino acids (far more than soy sauce!) Rich in Glutamic acid, these aminos support brain function, digestion and prostate health. The Threonine support healthy liver, heart, and immune function. Valine aids tissue repair. Aspartic acid helps generate energy (wohoo!!) The Alanine keeps blood sugar level. I mean seriously friends….Is your soy sauce doing all of this for you?? If that’s not enough, the serine keeps your brain in tip top shape too!!
The flavor is salty, and rich. It really tastes very similar to soy sauce. I’ve been using in it my nori wraps, sushi, salad dressings and as a marinade. I’ve found it at Whole Foods, as well as other health food stores and markets.
Have you tried them yet?? I’d love to hear what you thought and how you’re using them in your kitchen. I can only hope they make to-go packets soon, so I can keep them in my purse for sushi night!

I will be looking out for this during my next Whole Foods trip! Thanks for the tip!
You’re welcome! I’d love to hear what you think of the aminos.
