If you’ve been following #RNL for any amount of time, you know we love our morning lemon water. But let’s be honest, lemon water can get a little boring. If you’re looking for a break but want to continue a healthy alkalizing, hydrating method in the morning, this pre-breakfast, pre-workout 3 ingredient drink is just what you need to beat the bloat, get a jump on your daily fiber and get a daily dose of omega-3’s. Read on for how to debloat and hydrate for summer.

Coconut Water

Coconut water is a perfect re-hydrant full of electrolytes, potassium, thyroid loving copper, antioxidants, and magnesium. As of 2005, 68% of Americans are short on magnesium. If your body is running low on magnesium, that could cause low energy levels or even lead to serious health conditions like asthma, diabetes, and osteoporosis. A serving of coconut water takes care of about 14% of your daily magnesium needs.

When you can, crack a fresh organic coconut (and save the meat to eat in place of ice cream). This is a good brand when you can’t crack a fresh one.

Chia Seeds

Chia seeds are nutrient dense seeds that help improve digestion, boost energy, improve skin, heart health, build strong teeth, and promote weight loss.

Chia seeds also boost your Omega-3 fatty acid intake. These fatty acids contribute to healthy cell membranes, protecting against wrinkles and sun damage. They also help reduce inflammation, which can cause premature aging. What’s more, our bodies can’t make this essential fatty acid, so getting it from food is ultra important.

And if acne is on your list of concerns, make the omega-3 + fiber combo your new BFF. Try 1-2 T of chia seeds each day

As a bonus, healthy fats help you stay satisfied, keeping you full longer! Bye-bye snack attack.

Greens Powder

Greens are our go-to supplement for cellular cleansing and clean up in the body. Greens supplements provide the type of greens we are less likely to eat normally, like spirulina, chlorella, barley grass, and wheat grass. They also contain a high dose of food-based antioxidants to clean up environmental damage, free radicals, and toxins. Greens will help shift our bodies biochemistry faster so we start actually craving the good stuff. Greens are one of the biggest game changers for my clients, particularly when it comes to increasing energy.

Our favorite: Deeper Greens

Mix well and enjoy before chia seeds gel.

Note: If you just can’t stomach greens, try a capsule to powder form (like this) until your taste buds change
